The Detroit techno legend Stacey Pullen mixes the third of the 2020Vision DJ mix series, following the acclaimed mixes from Ralph Lawson and Greg Wilson.
Stacey Pullen is regarded as a legend of the ‘second wave’ of Detroit techno producers, releasing on revered labels such as Transmat, Fragile, R&S and Science. His previous mix CDs have been for the highly acclaimed K7! DJ Kicks and Fabric series.
He was a pioneer of mixing in the UK and in 1983 he became the first ‘dance music’ DJ hired for a regular weekly session at Manchester’s now legendary Hacienda club. This album follows the critically acclaimed mixes from label boss Ralph Lawson and electrofunk legend Greg Wilson, and as it is released in the year of 2020Vision’s 15th Year Anniversary, it will coincide with numerous label features and also parties and club nights to celebrate this around Europe.
The mix starts with early works from Wulf n’ Bear and goes on to include tracks by Simon Baker, Mark Broom, Random Factor, Art Of Tones and Crazy P.
It was a hard task but Stacey has managed to perfectly capture what 2020Vision is all about. Stacey is still a world famous and popular DJ, playing all over the world, and has continued to build his status as a DJ worldwide.
