Well it’s been a long week here at Digital Dancefloor HQ and I haven’t had much time to write anything new, but as always I’ve got my Top 5 tracks of the week ready to go… What do you think? What are you picks for March?
1: Stronkle (Original) _ Ramon Tapia (Great Stuff Recordings)
This right here is why I love house music. Upbeat with a filtered/disco influence that can’t help but make you smile. The other tracks on this release are winners, too.
2: Romane (Para One RMX) _ Bart B More
Strong beats, twangy synths, rolling basslines, and an accordian? Best part of the track is the twisted acid breakdown… Bangin’ for sure!
3: Repair (Original) _ Nathan Cozzetto (Stealth Records)
Quirky tech-house cut off Roger Sanchez’ newest Battle Weapons EP (all of which is good)… Loose structure, big build and chuggin’ tech groove give this one a place in any set.
4: Bom (Original) _ Avicii (Vicious)
A smooth, melodic build and plenty of supporting percussion make this progressive house choon worth a spin. Seems like I’ve been diggin’ a lot of Avicii lately, and for good reason…
5: Off the Wall (Simioli & Black Mix) _ The Black Project (LoudBit)
The King of Pop is back from the dead in this hot interpretation of the title track from his first adult solo album… The “Gotta leave that Nine-to-Five up on the shelf…” hook truly is the voice of an angel.
