Following his critically acclaimed ‘Remix EP‘, Jim Rivers returns to Renaissance with a brilliant new production…

Jim Rivers has been a very busy boy since he last appeared on Renaissance. Few DJs and producers of his generation can claim to have done so much and ascended so far over the past couple of years. Highlights include helming the re-launch of GU‘s ‘Nubreed‘ compilation series; signing the Paolo Mojo collaboration ‘Ron Hardy Said‘ to Eric PrydzMouseville, remixing and releasing on the likes of Saved, Simple and Four:Twenty and establishing his own imprint Misfit – phew! And were it not for the fact we’ve this latest single to discuss, the list could go on and on…

7 Days‘ is a perfect slice of Spring time tech; a warm, emotive tune with a chunky riff and infectious bass line, rich in that synonymous Rivers sound, which put in Jim‘s own words, “…Is a record full of sunshine. Ironically, I road-tested this during the depths of winter and it got a great reaction from the off. I can’t wait to continue spinning this over the coming months when its summery vibe will truly come into its own.”

Such an auspicious tune deserves an auspicious remixer, so who better than the prolific Steve Mac? His driving interpretation brings an extra dimension to the package; a steroid-fuelled belter, perfect for the start of festival season, big rooms or peak times, which means – sunrise to sunset – ‘7 Days‘ is all set to be an essential part of your future clubbing soundtrack.
