He’s been on my radar the past few years (even posted a few vids of him a while back) but it seems recently he’s been getting more and more exposure. I like what he’s doing, but how long will it last when the novelty wears off? Somebody said his live show was like James Zabiela DJing at karaoke night…
If you caught his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix [megaupload] you’ll know he’s got skill. There’s no denying that. This 2 hour set is blazing! What he’s doing is new and fresh and that’s exactly what this stale electronic music scene needs right now.
He’ll be able to make it, I don’t have any doubts about that, but will he always be the considered a side-show or will he lead the revolution of followers into this as yet untapped market?
And do we really want an army of electronic beat-boxing wizards out there?
